What do we understand about a society?
Society is a group of people belonging to similar class, culture or origin related to each other through persistent needs. All of us contribute towards society by continuous and beneficial give and take that leads to the growth of society. It is also important to look at certain sections of the society that go neglected due to the non-availability of resources or suitable growth conditions in that particular geographical area . Extra effort is required to bring about changes in such suppressed sections of the society.
A group of people when take this responsibility to initiate the change and reform the down-trodden, to elevate them to the equalled level of growth with other classes on the basis of education and social awakening to bring the uniformity and harmony , it is termed as reformative society. MESAS (Mewat Educational and Social Awakening Society) is one such initiative determined to alter the facial and core conditions of rurals at Nuh District at Mewat, State of Haryana.
The society came into existence 1st February, 2003, when an Activist, Social thinker and Reformist Mohammed Yahya Saifi S/o Haji Allahbaksh (Founder Member), decided to take this responsibility towards the under-privileged ones of the Mewat village. His initial efforts as the FOUNDER were paid and the Aims and Objectives of the Society were written formally on 26th January, 2004.
It was decided in the first meeting of the Executive Body which was held on 1st February 2003, that the Founders day of the Society will be celebrated on 26th January every year at the head office of the organisation.
